The Building and Construction Authority has issued a circular in conjunction with the Planning Authority (PA) and the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) in relation to the Construction Management Site Regulations S.L. 623.08.

Publication of a Legal Notice on the Construction Management Site Regulations and the Standardisation of Dimensions of Internal and External Apertures

The Construction Management Site Regulations were published in the Government Gazette of Friday 16th December, 2022. This Legal Notice among other things assigns to the Building and Construction Authority, BCA, the responsibility regarding the management of construction sites. It introduces new regulations regarding the protection of third parties with regard to projects that are being made, and initiates a new standard regarding the dimensions of apertures of new residential dwellings.

No Demolition and Excavation Works in Tourism Areas During Summer Months

No demolition and excavation works will be permitted within tourism areas between 15th June and 30th September 2022. This initiative which is being co-ordinated between the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Planning Authority (PA) takes into account the nuisance and inconvenience that construction sites have on the surrounding neighborhood.

The scope of the Expression of Interest is to invite local I.T Companies to submit their interest in giving a professional service to the Authority, such as Desktop Support Service and support in the design and setup of an office IT infrastructure including the design and setup of a data room.
